On 11th August 2012 at Academy of Fine Arts Kolkata, the First “West Bengal Peoples’ Summit on Environment” was organised by Sabuj Muncha (Green Platform)- an umbrella of nearly 132 NGOs working in the field of Environment. Dr. Dipankar Adhya was invited for his presentation “Arsenic Poisoning from Drinking Arsenic Contaminated Ground Water – The greatest Environmental Disaster of the Century”.

The subject matter, opinion and Govt. Authorities remarks mainly related to Kolkata Municipal Corporation zone , with more than 4.5 million population, is being telecast repeatedly by ETV news on 26-27th August 2012.
